Blog Analysis

The blog I selected was about blackjack and playing blackjack online. In my blog the writer, Blackjack Expert, talks about playing in online casinos and the various games it offers. The writer really tries to persuade the reader to play in online casinos and gives specific examples of the benefits of playing online. The writer also seems very passionate about online casinos and there is a good chance, in my opinion, the writer is trying to get people to sign up for an online casino site.
The writer seems very dedicated to bring people into the online blackjack world. He seems to very strongly favor online casino play. The writer sounds as if he has been playing online casino games for a while and is very satisfied with what he has learned. He sounds passionate about playing online and seems to be a fan of gambling. One of this is when the reader states “You can test out the more common table games such as craps, Blackjack, Roulette or Baccarat.” (Blackjack Expert) The writer also has many links to online gambling sites which make it easier for his readers to find and gain access to the online gambling sites he talks about in his blogs.
The writer tries to make his blog appeal to everyone. He tries to make his blog sound like if anyone wants to start gambling that it really is only a click away. The writer really hits on the topic that most players worry about, which is their inexperience. He gives people reassurance though by saying, “You can sample the casino games using play money which is a tremendous opportunity for a new player to experience online casino play without any financial risk.” (Blackjack Expert) This makes his readers really consider trying an online casino because as he says, “You don't need to deposit any cash!” (Blackjack Expert) Most people are happy when they can do something that they enjoy and it is free.
The writer presents the subject matter and content in a very simple and up-front way. He really hits on the concerns that the reader might have, such as their inexperience or the financial standings. The writer is very informative and as I wrote earlier offers links to take you straight to some online casinos. He also tells you his opinion on how you should get started. He suggest that you make a guest account first to test out the site and make sure that it is up to your standards. This is great for people that do not like making choices unless they are one-hundred percent sure it is the right choice.
In conclusion, I believe that the writer is just trying to bring people into the online casino world. He really tries to give you as much information about online casinos as he can. He also does a great job with addressing the reader’s fears and then reassuring them that online casino sites are just the thing they need. The last line of the blog though is what really makes me think that the writer is just trying to bring people into his online casino. He writes, “After playing with your Guest account, make your first deposit of $100 at Golden Palace Casino and you'll get a $300 bonus to play their real money games!” (Blackjack Expert) This is what he had been building the reader up for the entire time. The writer gets you all into wanting to play at an online casino and then right when he has you the writer drops a link to a website that he is most likely writing this blog for.
